Terms of use

Last updated July 15, 2026

Ohata is a self-service tool. These terms keep things simple: use it for free, pay only for batch processing, and understand that the issuing authority always has the final say on your photo.

The service

Ohata provides an in-browser passport/visa photo maker and photo utilities. Single-image use is free. Batch processing is a paid, per-image service delivered immediately in your browser.

No guarantee of acceptance

Photo requirements are set and enforced by governments and other issuing authorities, and they change. We verify specifications against official sources and link those sources on every country page, but we cannot guarantee any photo will be accepted. Photos may be rejected by authorities; Ohata is not responsible for any loss, expense, or delay arising from a rejected photo or an out-of-date specification. Always confirm requirements with the issuing authority before submitting.

Payments and refunds

Batch purchases are processed by Stripe and priced per image before you pay. Because processing happens immediately on your device, completed batches are generally not refundable — but if a batch fails or produces unusable results, contact us and we'll make it right.

Acceptable use

Use Ohata only with images you have the right to use, and not to create documents intended to deceive or defraud. Identity-document photos must be of the person applying — the tool performs no face swapping or AI alteration, and attempting to misuse it for fraudulent documents is prohibited.

Partner services

Optional integrations (partner printing, Canva) are provided by third parties under their own terms. A print order is a purchase from the print partner, not from Ohata.
